Albania – 2501 – Right to recover

We have started the implementation of this project in the prisons around Tirana. There are two male prisons (capacity Jordan Misja 450 and Mine Peza 170 persons) and one female prison (capacity 80 persons) in Tirana.

The program aims to make individual inmates aware of the impact their criminal acts have had on many levels of society, with the intention that they will not relapse into criminal behavior.

From a biblical point of view, we see sin and brokenness at the root of the wrong behavior and damaged lives. By bringing God’s Word the lives of the inmates change, we experience this in practice. From a psychological point of view, a lack of self-awareness and failure to learn to repair relationships often play a role in criminal behavior. We help prisoners get their lives back on track.
